$10 Per Mile for the Huron River
Trevor
HERE'S THE STORY:
This week, more that 800,000 gallons of oil spilled into the Kalamazoo river http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/29/us/29michigan.html?src=mv . We need to make sure this type of thing can not happen in the Huron River. You can help!
Founded in 1965, the Huron River Watershed Council (HRWC) is southeast Michigan’s oldest environmental organization dedicated to river protection. The Council’s mission is to inspire attitudes, behaviors, and economies that protect, rehabilitate, and sustain the ecological and cultural communities of the Huron River ecosystem.
The Huron River flows more than 125 miles from its headwaters at Big Lake, near Pontiac, to its mouth at Lake Erie. I'm working to raise money to protect the Huron River Watershed.
My goal is to raise $10 for each mile of the Huron River! I can surely find 125 people in Ann Arbor alone who would give $10 to protect the Huron, right?
Please give generously to help protect the Huron River Watershed! For more info, check out the Huron River Watershed Council's Website: http://www.hrwc.org/
