The Auburn Public Library represents the heart and soul of our community – the one place where every person can find the stories they want, the information they need, and the connections that make the community strong.
Your gift helps ensure that this beautiful library remains modern, vibrant and ready to transform lives!
As we get ready to celebrate a summer of reading for all ages – the kick-off is June 18th at 5 pm, we put together a dream wish list to support our work here at the APL:
- Bring the Chewonki Nature Education program to the Children’s Room. $200
- Art supplies for the Teen Space or Children's Room. $50
- A sewing machine for arts, crafts, hats, mittens – whatever! $150
- New educational software for the computers in the Children’s Room. $400 to $800
- A new couch for the Teen Space; a very durable one.
- An inflatable movie screen for summer movies on the lawn. $150
- A popcorn machine to go with those movies. $300
- Family pass to the Children’s Museum of Maine and the Southworth Planetarium. $150
- New board games and card games. $25 to $50
- Headphones for the computers - several sets. $125
- Sponsor a visit and talk from an author – for children, teens and adults. $200 to $600
- ArtVan sponsorship $500
- And more!
The 2012 DREAM BIG fundraiser makes it possible to go the extra mile for our community with all of these special things.
