UPDATE: We hit our March goal of 3000 Meals! Let's do it again in April!
Let's help eliminate hunger in Orange County.
As with the rest of the country, the recession hit our county extremely hard, making it difficult for the working poor, children, seniors on fixed incomes, single parents, the disabled, the homeless and people experiencing medical emergencies or recent job layoffs to be able to plan for even basic necessities, such as food. Food. That's unacceptable.
The Second Harvest Food Bank Orange County helps feed over 240,000 people every single month -- staggering. Our goal for March is to help them feed 3,000 of those individuals. $1 = 3 meals. SO, let's raise $1000 by March 31st, okay? If we raise more and help more people -- AWESOME.
We can do this, no doubt. And be sure to check back because I will be holding contests!!
