I'm kicking off my forties by taking a jog around the city, aka the New York marathon. I have spent the past summer months running along the waterfront aided and abetted by my family who have cycled, scootered and run alongside. This together with chants of "Pappy do you want some gatorade" from Arya and Krishna have enabled me to get this far. I cannot say enough about how much Sujata has helped me out especially during and after the long runs. Meals, baths, massages have been on tap for several months without which none of this would have happened. It has been a very cool family experience with everyone participating. Arya and Krishna still struggle with the concept that I am just trying to get across the finish line and not win the marathon !!!
The run is on the 6th of Novemeber. Please come out and support me on the day if you can. Ill be sending out my bib number which can be tracked very accurately on your smart phone. Familiar faces along the route will definately make the miles go faster...If any of you wish to run alongside for a few of the miles, please contact me directly.
To make my run truly worthwhile please donate to the Robin Hood Foundation and help me mark the start of a new decade by helping to fight poverty in New York City. Rest assured that Robin Hood will pass all your dollars on to the cause as the directors pay all the administration costs of the foundation.
