I have always been the person who has sat back and let things happen. I always wanted for things to be better, and have always felt the desire to help, but I always figured that I was only one person and could not make a difference. I left it to others to take care of, figuring that they would take care of it. This is the day that changes. It is up to me and to you to make changes and to make a difference. Let's make today different, let's make today better together!
I have a lot of causes that interest me and touch my heart, ever since I was little anything having to do with animals and nature has had a profound effect on me. I used to watch National Geographic videos constantly, taking in the sites of beautiful places and animals I hoped to see in person one day. I also am interested in causes involving bettering the lives of children. Basically, I have a drive to protect things that cannot protect themselves: children, animals, nature, etc. I want to give a voice to things that cannot speak for themselves, stand up for things that cannot stand up for themselves. I want the world to live in peace and harmony, and for everyone to realize what I have come to realize: that it is up to EVERYONE to take on the responsibility to better this world.
I am on a personal quest to put 100% into doing everything within my power to live up to new expectations I have set for myself. Admittedly, I am not perfect. I don't always recycle like I should, I use too much plastic, and probably harm the environment around me in many other ways I am not even aware of. I want this to be the last day I ever say that. I want to go to sleep at night knowing that I did everything in my power to have a positive effect on the world.
