Our Mission
Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.
The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) is to help young people, especially those who need us most, build strong character and realize their full potential as responsible citizens and leaders. We do this by providing: a safe haven filled with hope and opportunity, ongoing relationships with caring adults, and life-enhancing programs. Our approach focuses on six core initiatives: Arts; Education; Leadership; Life Skills; Sports, Fitness and Recreation; and Technology.
BGCB serves approximately 14,000 youth, ages 6 to 18, annually through a growing service network that includes ten Clubs, YouthConnect, and Camp Harbor View.
BGCB's 10 Clubs are located in Charlestown, Chelsea, Dorchester, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston, and Mattapan. Our YouthConnect program places licensed clinical social workers in Boston Police Districts to provide prevention, intervention, and referral services to the city's most high-risk youth and their families. BGCB also operates Camp Harbor View, located on Long Island in Boston Harbor. The Camp was created in 2007 by the Camp Harbor View Foundation to provide a fun and safe environment where youth can challenge themselves, make new friends, and experience a world beyond their neighborhoods.
