In 2005, a quirky, furry, strutting, googly-eyed senior pug entered my life and it was never the same again. Last month, my beloved Homey made a journey that I could not be a part of and thanks to the folks at OSU Veterinary Medical Center, it was a peaceful one. They could not have been more supportive and helpful. I am so thankful for the work that they do.
My goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon in Columbus on October 16th, but more importantly, to raise money for the Center’s Veterinary Outreach Program, in partnership with LifeCare Alliance/Meals-on-Wheels, to provide access to needed veterinary services for seniors with pets. Since 2009, students and faculty travel out into the community one day week to care for the pets of this vulnerable population. Please help me support this incredible partnership in memory of my own irreplaceable senior who changed my life forever.
