WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
In the fall of 2009, my brother Ryan was diagnosed with colon cancer. Fortunately his surgery and chemotherapy treatments went well and is is currenly healthy and cancer free. Since his diagnosis, I have been determined to do my part to fight this deadly disease.
I'm honored and excited to be running this year’s NYC Marathon for the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation (CCCF) on November 6 of this year. This will be my first marathon.
CCCF's mission includes:
- Supporting research into the causes and cures for colorectal cancer including funding of young scientific investigators.
- Increasing public awareness about colorectal cancer and its prevention.
- Educating the public about the risk factors for colorectal cancer and the importance of early detection.
- Partnering with and supporting strategic partners in the fight against colorectal cancer.
Please help me in my effort to raise funds towards CCCF's life-saving mission.
