I need your help! I have devoted a great part of my life to a cause dear to my heart --the plight of shelter dogs. Our 4-legged companions are almost universally loved, but most people have no idea of the perils that these animals face. Even fewer people are prepared to do something about it. I have donated blood, sweat and tears to making some small impact on the lives of our furry friends. It is a labor of love, fueled by a strong faith and commitment in a better, more compassionate, world.
In 2007 I co-founded a website, DogsInDanger.com that lists dogs on death row in shelters all across the country. The transparency we brought to the issue made the shelter community uncomfortable, but the public and the media embraced it. For the first time, we made it personal with names and faces of dogs on death row, and the public came face to face with a painful reality. Since then over 37,000 dogs have been saved with the assistance of this modest website… but we still have a long way to go. Millions of dogs are dying. To spread the word and keep up with demand for adopters, we are planning a national television Public Service Announcement to run on hundreds of networks.
In today's economy it is hard for anyone to part with their money and to do it for the animals is an incredible act of generosity and selflessness. Every donation helps us get closer to our goal. Thank you for supporting our mission to end the needless killing of our best friends.
