Chattanooga Down Syndrome Society 2012 Buddy Walk
Join the Chattanooga Down Syndrome Society and all our friends at AT&T Park, 201 Power Alley, on October 13th, 2011 as we celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness Month with our 12th annual Buddy Walk to celebrate those with Down syndrome! We'll have inflatables, T-shirts, face painting, candy apples, music from DJ Joe Nabors and lots of fun! Registration begins at 11:00, and the walk will kick off at 11:30, followed by a pizza Luncheon, generously provided again this year by Mr. T's Pizza. Register and join the team of your favorite person with Down syndrome! Last year we had a record turn-out of over 1000 people! This year we’d like to have over 1,200 participants!
Parking is available for NO CHARGE for this event. Please park at First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave, Chattanooga, TN. The Lookouts Trolley will pick all participants starting at 10:30 AM and drop you off after the walk is complete for NO CHARGE.
Prizes will be awarded for youngest & oldest walker with Down syndrome, the team with the most walkers & the team raising the most money. All teams with over 20 walkers will be recognized from the podium.
The Buddy Walk is the primary fundraiser for CDSS. You can also encourage friends who can’t be present for the walk to support your team by using Donate button on the left sidebar. www.crowdrise.com/CDSS2012buddywalk. This allows friends and family make a direct donation to the Chattanooga Down Syndrome Society on behalf of a specific team or in memory of a loved one with Down syndrome. Donations will be directly credited to your total team registration!
