The CLC Social Action Club World Record Day event will raise money to fund services provided by Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center in Gurnee, Illinois. World Record Day is a worldwide event sponsored by RecordSetter, an world record adjudication organization that allows anyone to submit online any feat for world record recognition provided the feat is measurable and can be beaten. CLC Social Action Club advisor Mick Cullen is a moderator with RecordSetter.com and holds over 30 world records of his own and he will be the official on-site head judge for this event.
All record attempts will be recorded and measured (where appropriate) to ensure verifiability by the central RecordSetter office in New York City.
Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 to help fund the free counseling, educational, and support services that Zacharias Center offers to Lake County residents who have survived sexual abuse and assault. We hope that each club member and other CLC students will showcase their unique talents. With even just 25 participants, if each participant raises $200, we will achieve our goal.
