STUFF ABOUT ME:

I'm a dedicated environmentalist trying to reduce my ecological footprint on our beautiful planet and stop pollution as much as I can. I live as organic as possible and separating and recycling are key in my life. I get called a little obsessed with recycling and caring for this planet at times, but I have to say I'd rather be obsessed about it than oblivious to it :D

I love the planet and there are so many beautiful places in the world I want to go and see. One of them being Louisiana, USA. I can't explain exactly what it is that draws me there but it might have something to do with a primary school project (a looong time ago ;) ) and settings of books I've been reading.
So when the BP Oilspill happened I was heartbroken, of course not only for Louisiana but for all areas that got struck by this tragedy and all involved (animals and people alike). I literally cried when I saw the footage of the spill and animals and beaches covered in oil.

I really wish I could just snap my fingers and make all that is wrong in this world right, but unfortunately that's impossible. So all I can do is create awareness for living as ecofriendly as possible and help raise money for projects I truly believe in.

I was wondering if you would like to join my fundraiser for The Trevor Project : http://www.crowdrise.com/fundraiserelise/fundraiser/elisemariemyrvangeik this fundraiser was my very first fundraiser on Crowdrise and it means alot to me personally. There are so many teenagers that are struggeling daily with being discriminated for who they are, just because of who they love. This is not right and we need to show the world that equal rights counts for all no matter who we are or what we do in life. No one has the right to judge others. The Trevor Project is the only helpline through telephone for gay teens in all of USA!! and so therefore this is a very important organisasation to support. Your commitment to the environment is awesome and I just voted for you 'cuz I'm a sucker for my fellow nature fans. So I'm wondering - what are you doin' for St. Patrick's Day?

Before donning your party frocks, I'd like to ask you to think about what you'll spend for your night on the town and match those funds with a donation to The Nature Conservancy. Or consider staying in that night and donating the money you would have spent - you could even host and get all your buddies together and have them donate what they would have spent out.
