Dear Runforlaptops Donors!

Thank you so much for donating! So far your contribution has helped us raise almost $29,000!!!

The race is almost here! I leave on Monday April 1st. I arrive in the desert on April 3rd. I’ll have 2 days of administrative check-ins on April 5 and 6. Then from April 7th-13th I will be racing!

Also apparently there will be live streaming video of the finish line for each day’s stage. So I guess if you are really into staring at a sandy finish line at odd hours, then you’ll have something to do.

Hello!

I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to helping me reach and exceed my fundraising goal of $5,000; together we raised $6500+ for Self Help Africa! I am so touched by all of your generous support, whether it be a financial donation, words of encouragement, song suggestions, running advice, or funny emails that brought a smile to my face during one of my long training runs.

When I started this journey, I had never run more than 6 miles at a time. I truly cannot believe that I trained for and will be RUNNING the 2013 Boston Marathon. With 19 days to go, I'm definitely ready for race day and excited to check this off my bucket list. For those of you that will be in Boston on April 15th, I'll be in a green shirt with my name on it. I should be passing through Wellesley, the mid-point, around 12:40ish pm and at the finish line around 2:35ish pm (if all goes according to plan…)!

Thank you again for all of your support; I can't even begin to describe how much it is appreciated.

Dear Courtney,

Thanks so much for donating to Shine A Light. I want to let you know that on the winter solstice, 12/21/12, the Northern California and Southern Oregon team raised over $20,000 to help end sex trafficking in India.

As a yoga community, we did 108 Sun Salutations with meditation and prayers for our sisters in India and those who help them. It was snowing in Mount Shasta as we joined together in breath and service, with the sun setting on the shortest day of the year.

The money will go to non-profits on the ground in India, getting girls out of brothels, giving them an education and counseling to help them heal.
