This year, Executives Without Borders made tremendous progress in our mission to strengthen non-profit outcomes around the world, and to provide transformational experiences for our volunteers.
By matching professional volunteers with non-profits that need their help we magnify the impact of our non-profit partners. Through our relationships and corporate partners, we are able to provide professional services to our non-profit partners free of charge. This helps them run more efficiently, allowing them to invest more dollars into their life-saving education and health programs.
Now we have an opportunity to do more.
Thanks to one of our donors we have a $50,000 matching grant. That gift turns every $1 into $2 and allows us to double our impact.
2011 was an amazing year. We took everything we learned over the past few years and partnered with others to create a “business peace corps” - a platform to broadly change the way that companies involve their people in solving global challenges.
In Honduras, we continued our work to strengthen healthcare delivery for over 160,000 people that otherwise would not have access to care. In Haiti, we continued our work to help Haitians recover from the earthquake and created the framework for a national recycling program that creates sustainable jobs and cleans up the environment. In South Sudan, we helped support the birth of a new nation by helping the Lost Boys and Girls of Sudan in their quest to return home and play an active role in building the world’s newest country.
After 4 years of bridging the gap between non-profits and the business community, we have demonstrated we have a model that works and increases global impact. At the same time, our model is a little unique as we don’t run many of the programs you support. We make the programs you support better.
This $50,000 matching grant is an amazing opportunity for our organization and we need your help to maximize our impact in 2012.
