THE STORY:
Running a half marathon on Thanksgiving weekend to remember and support the soldiers that gave us the freedom to do it, now what could be better than that? The only thing I can think of is to raise some money to help support wounded hero programs while doing it. That's where I need your help.
Team Easy Day was started as a reminder. While training for this run or simply living everyday life, some days are just plain tough. There are times I wish I could be doing anything other than what I am doing at that moment. That's when it's time to remember its just another "easy day" and that it's time to square up and get it done. I remember it's an easy day, because somewhere in the world there are those that are putting it all on the line. There are those that can't simply throw their hands up and go sit in front of the TV. There are those that that risk and sometimes give their lives to keep my family free. Compared to all that, my day is simply another "easy day".
So please join me in showing our appreciation to the men and women making these incredible sacrifices. The money raised is going to some great causes. Regardless of if you are able to donate or not, please take a moment this Thanksgiving weekend to remember our soldiers that are out there getting the job done.

Here is the official information for the run:
Burn off the turkey and dressing with Marcus Luttrell and friends at Boot Run Houston—a Half Marathon and 5K to benefit the Boot Campaign and Village of Sabray.
Your participation in Boot Run Houston will provide funding for the Boot Campaign’s wounded hero programs and the Village of Sabray—the community that protected Marcus Luttrell from enemy forces during Operation Red Wings.
Boot Run Houston allows you to run at your own pace. Runners can choose to register for the Half Marathon or 5K. Make a statement by running in your Boots! You can order a pair of the Boot Campaign’s signature “give back” combat boots on www.BootCampaign.com.
