Throughout my acting career I have been involved in some pretty amazing organizations that have given back to some great causes. My passion has always been for the environment and finding sustainable and renewable energy sources.

Maintaining a happy and healthy planet is one of my passions and I have worked closely with many national and local organizations in California to find environmentally friendly solutions, especially environmentally safe and clean transportation.

Recently I joined the LAPD Hollenbeck Police Activities League (Hollenbeck PAL) through the One Cup Campaign to raise money for after school programs. All funds raised through this campaign will be donated to the after school programs run by the Hollenbeck PAL.

Please check out my project below and for the price of a premium cup of coffee, you can help sponsor a child and fund after school activities in their area.

Dear Mr. Begley, I recently joined CrowdRise and just gave you a vote. I live in Long Beach, CA, where one in five residents are living in economic hardship and over 50% of our children are living in poverty. With poverty comes food insecurity, with food insecurity comes even more difficulties.

My organization Long Beach Grows is building an network of urban farm co-op sites where people, including those of greatest need, can grow food together while building community and relieving hunger, including the children. Please give me permission to email you my full appeal letter that describes all the different things we hope to accomplish. It's too much for this brief message.

Each of our community farm sites will have a kids garden, kids programming, and much more, including at LBGROWS Unity Farm pictured here, where we already have our kids garden ready for the children to make it theirs.

LBGROWS is already an online community resource for people to find information about what's possible garden/farm-wise in Long Beach. Each city farm co-op site will be a physical community resource for people to learn about self sufficiency (by participating in becoming so) and sustainable food security while respecting the animals and the earth that provide for us.
