GAY MENS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROJECT wrote -
The Gay Men’s Domestic Violence Project (GMDVP) is running the Boston Marathon to raise critically needed funds for GLBT victims and survivors throughout Southern New England.
We are a grassroots, non-profit organization founded by a survivor of domestic violence and developed through the strength, contributions and participation of the community.
GMDVP supports victims and survivors through education, advocacy and direct services. We operate a 24-hour hotline, a legal program providing direct representation in court, and the only GLBT-specific residential facility for domestic violence victims in New England.
Not everyone can run a marathon – but everyone can help us raise critical funds! There are two ways you can help out.
First,
make a contribution to one of our runners! Check out their pages below.
Second,
join our marathon team by becoming a ‘virtual runner’! Click the ‘Join our Team’ button to the right and create your own fundraising page. Then send out the link to your social media and email networks and ask your friends to support GLBT victims and survivors.
Thanks for your support!
