To get a feeling for Hochstein, stop by the school on any Saturday morning and you will see tiny ballerinas giggling in the hallways, small children with impossibly large cellos on their backs running up the stairs, and smiling retirees carrying their cases-- living their long put off dream of learning to play an instrument. 50 N. Dear Donors to the Department of Photographs -

I know that I've already e-mailed you a thank you, and this will probably not be the last one you receive, but I wanted to let you know that we have raised 28% of our $4000 goal! $1,138 is fantastic, and the team will continue to try and match your support with donations from others.

At this point, we have the funds in place to pay for the conservation of the Giacomo Martinetti painting! It will be wonderful to share that with our visitors when it comes back after it has been treated. We are now well on our way to having funding in place to conserve a beautiful double daguerreotype mother-of pearl inlay case and the two daguerreotypes that are in it as well. I'll post pictures on our team's page soon (it is so new that it is at the photographer today having its portrait taken).

We have reached 28% of our goal!
There are 3 weeks until race day!
We have raised the funds to conserve the painting!
We are now working towards raising funds to conserve a double daguerreotype case that was recently acquired.

Thanks for donating to our cause. We love photographs here but it turns out that they are demanding little devils that require a lot of love and attention. If each of our photographs raised $10 to help support their care and feeding we'd have $4,000,000! Now that's a pretty good retirement plan for them!
