My life changed recently. Not for the good and not for the better. It was a change i could have "avoided" if i had been more involved with my body. More aware. Most of all i was arrogant thinking it wont happen to me, i don't have anything to worry about. I have no symptoms. Ignorant because i had been taught to be active to be present and i simply wasn't. The media and things i was taught - they didn't sink in. I was too busy or i would simply do it later. Boy did i get a massive kick up the arse slap across the face. What a complete dumb arse! Still hearing those words i said there must be another way. This cant be happening.I remember crying because i thought how could i be so stupid! Not that i had cancer but how could i be so stupid! As i sit here writing this i'm waiting on results. Results if i had of been aware and present - i wouldn't have to be! Im not pissed off about cancer or angry - im angry at myself. Angry because im smarter than this! 

People dont always understand how i can speak about something so private. I speak about this and whats happened because the more aware we are the less "dirty" it is.The stigma is vanquished. I don't want people to feel sorry for me i want them to understand. To be aware. Its funny since i have opened up i can think of 18 people that i know that have made appointments. 2 of which have had treatment and are now so involved they have possibly escaped what ive just gone through. TO me. Thats brilliant! Im not famous or popular so 2 people is fabulous. 

And its true. If cancer is caught in early stages there is hope. Please be aware. Please spend 10 minutes educating yourself so you don't end up like me. Or worse. Friends and other people during my treatment have commented and said how brave i am. Im not brave. Im able to stay positive and laugh at this and talk about it openly. Its how ive managed to deal with the heartbreak and my own anger.So im not brave im just really funny ;-) Im dealing with this because i was not paying attention. Its my own fault. Please for the people in your life - pay attention. It affects them too.

Mozilla Firefox just launched an AMAZING holiday campaign and is donating $25k to the charity that raises the most money and I want to win that money for F Cancer!

What is F Cancer you may ask? Why am I swearing? Well...for good reason.

With the exponential growth in technology and education, F Cancer has set out to educate everyone to recognize crucial early warning signs of cancer and inspire them turn around and spread the word to loved ones who may be at risk.

So many important charities are focused on finding a cure, when over 90% of all cancers are curable if detected in stage one - Crazy right? If it was any other disease, we'd say that a cure has been found. It's definitely important that we continue research, but right now, early detection is the best cure we have for cancer. And yet, not everyone knows that. 

We can save lives just by showing people how to detect early signs of cancer. 

Let's put an end to late stage cancer diagnosis. Here's how you can help...
