BENEFITING: NEW YORK HARBOR SCHOOL
THE STORY:
Harbor School 9th through 12th graders are trying to raise enough money to start a lacrosse program. This year (2010-2011) was our first year with a club team. Most of us had never even seen or heard of lacrosse until this year, and now just a couple months in and we love it already! We have been lucky enough to get a lot of equipment donations from CityLax and other individual supporters of our program, but we still have a long way to go! We hope to raise enough money for sticks, gear, uniforms, coaches and travel so we can have Varsity teams this coming school year for both the Boys' and Girls'. We believe that lacrosse will open doors to opportunities when we graduate from Harbor. Along with teaching us the importance of a team, discipline and motivation, lacrosse can help us get into a better college. Please help us raise the money we need not just to start a program but to keep it running!
