By contributing to TEAM ICL in the 2010 ING NYC Marathon, you will help ICL change lives of thousands of New Yorkers who face profound challenges—veterans struggling with psychological and physical impairments, homeless parents desperate to reunite with children in foster care, adults with life long developmental disabilities, and people of all ages with mental illness that can now be treated and stabilized.
People come to ICL with a desire to reclaim their lives. Our dedicated staff works with individuals on the margins of society who are sidelined by serious illness and poverty to plan their future and help them achieve their goals. Every year, ICL helps 8,000 New Yorkers of all ages and walks of life overcome disabilities, chronic illnesses and economic challenges to live stable, fulfilled and productive lives. Just like the Marathon inspires its runners to stretch their abilities, ICL’s work is rooted in the belief that people can accomplish more than they ever imagined. Help us strengthen New York City and reclaim the lives of New Yorkers who, with our help, have the potential for so much more.
