Shortly after my 30th birthday I began complaining of vague abdominal symptoms: nausea, vomiting and some pain. My doctor diagnosed me with a virus and told me to ride it out. Thankfully, I went to see another physician, a GI specialist, that discovered my worst nightmare: a tumor. I was diagnosed in August 2011 with stage IV cholangiocarcinoma that had metastasized to my liver, left adrenal gland, lungs and lymphnodes. Despite being married just about a year at the time and having many very loving people in my life, I have never felt more alone. I joined crowdrise to help I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Org so other people might age might not feel as alone.
