THE STORY:
I have been following the tragic events in Japan since the earthquake and tsunami struck last Friday. As if those enormous natural disasters were not enough, Japan now is in the grips of an unprecedented crisis involving its nuclear power facilities. The toll in human lives and in property damage is truly unimaginable.
My goal is to raise $5,000 for the Japan Society:
The Japan Society has created a disaster relief fund to aid victims of the massive earthquake in northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011. Over the years, Japan Society has partnered with several Japanese and American non-profits working on the frontlines of disaster relief and recovery. 100% of your generous tax-deductible contributions will go to organization(s) that directly help victims recover from the devastating effects of the earthquake and tsunamis that struck Japan.
