THE STORY:
Cancer has hit my family and friends pretty hard these past few years. Up until a few years ago, I didn't know anyone with cancer. Then my grandmother-in-law was diagnosed, had surgery and is in remission. Then a year ago, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer but was too weak to go through surgery or chemo but successfully went through radiation. Then a few months later my other grandmother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer, did surgery and radiation and it's gone. THEN within a matter of months, I found out that two co-workers were diagnosed and fighting cancer. And if things couldn't get any worse, my dad's cancer came back and this time, he is too weak to even go through radiation. I felt so defeated and helpless but I've snapped out of it and decided to fight for those who still have a chance!
