I'm a high school math teacher, husband to a wonderful wife and father of two beautiful daughters. My oldest daughter was murdered on January 15, 2011 and we have been forced to travel a very difficult path these past few months.
Amanda's death hit me harder than anything ever had--physically, mentally, and emotionally. I've been kicked, cut, stomped, beat, bitten, crushed, and mangled in many other ways. I had felt physical pain and I had experienced emotional pain too, but nothing compares to the pain of losing a child.
In the days immediately after Amanda was murdered, I stumbled around in a sort of fog. I didn't know which way to turn or what to do. Fortunately, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ laid it on my heart to create Running with Amanda to honor Him and honor Amanda.
So now we run to Reveal the dangers of teen substance abuse, Reach people for Jesus, Raise money for charity, and Remember Amanda.
