LOLLIPOP is a truly amazing organization that I am lucky to be a part of. I remember the first event I ever did with them - my job was to meet this little girl, who had been in and out of the hospital pretty much her entire life, and bring her and her family backstage to a concert for one of her favorite bands.   This little girl was amazing!  She was only 8 years old and one of the bravest and upbeat kids I had ever met! 

As we went backstage, she told me how she met this band a year ago during a Lollipop Hospital visit.  She had given the group her school picture and she really hoped they remembered her.  When we finally got backstage - not only did the band remember her – they presented her with a scrap book.  These guys were in the middle of touring the country and they brought her picture with them to every stop…she was with them at every concert in every city!

This little girl was just beaming with excitement  - and not only that – but the look on her parents’ faces was just amazing.  They were totally blown away and honestly, so was I!

The next day I got an email from the girl’s mom thanking me and Lollipop for everything.  It was a really special moment for their entire family and it would have never happened without an organization like Lollipop!

Since then, I have been lucky enough to meet a lot more of these incredible families and they all say the same thing – LOLLIPOP MAKES THEM BETTER.  Whether it’s bringing an actor or artist into the hospital to meet the kids or something as simple as just brining in the latest movie to the hospital for the kids to watch…these kids and their parents get to forget about their problems for a little while.  They laugh, they smile, they forget they're sick and they just get to be kids!!   

It’s an incredible thing to witness and it’s something I hope I can continue to be a part of for a very, very long time.  

So now, I’m asking you guys to help put a smile on these kids faces. Lollipop needs support and I know we all have bills to pay, but PLEASE donate whatever you can.  Every dollar helps!

Please help LOLLIPOP raise the necessary funds to keep our programs active for patients like Jonathan, and parents like Michelle. Our goal is to expand our national reach in helping to offer hospitalized children everywhere an emotional cure from the challenges they face every day.

Your generous donations will help fund LOLLIPOP's programming in 2012, which includes our movie screenings (of first-run films), our monthly music session, Rhythm of Hope® in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville, artist days with Nickelodeon and DreamWorks Animation Studios at hospitals in Los Angeles, and celebrity visits with arts & crafts and other fun activities.
