THE STORY:
Back in January, I announced the FreeRice-a-thon contest. The person who raised the most amount of rice on FreeRice.com, would win a feature for their charity of choice on Living Philanthropic.
There were 43 members who collectively raised nearly 1 million grains of rice for World Food Programme and… our winner is… Louie Helm, here’s what he had to say:
"For March, I’d like to feature a charity that I donate to and volunteer for: the Singularity Institute. It’s a small non-profit that does research, academic outreach, and public science education on issues related the Singularity." - Louie Helm

About Living Philanthropic:
My mission is to give to charity every day for a year. This mission is built on a belief that you don't have to be rich in dollars to make a difference, you only need to be rich in spirit. I may not always be able to give a lot, but I will Give Everyday.
