THE STORY:
Lady Antebellum wrote -
Three weeks ago, Lady Antebellum began a contest offering fans a chance to Own The Prom Night with a private concert at their prom this spring. After carefully reviewing each submission, the trio unanimously chose the community of Henryville, IN for their story, resilience and unity following devastating tornadoes earlier this month. Not only was their own submission moving, but schools across the country spontaneously submitted videos campaigning on behalf of Henryville High School in support of Henryville receiving the special concert, including the winning submission from Silver Creek High School.
Due to a previously scheduled commitment, the trio won’t be able to make Henryville High School’s scheduled prom. In lieu of a performance at their official celebration, the band has decided to throw a bigger event on May 16th in nearby Louisville, KY for the school’s Juniors and Seniors followed by a benefit for the community. Details for all arrangements will be shared over the next few days. Congratulations Henryville!
For all those who would like to help out with the relief efforts in Henyrville, IN your donations will go to the New Hope Services/Indiana Bankers Association for the benefit of the Disaster Relief Fund. All donations received stay locally within Henryville, IN and are used specifically for community members who have been affected by the tornado. Lady A is very excited to be a part of rebuilding of this community and hope that you will join in and Own The Night!
