Hello There

My Name Is Kathleen, but you can call me Kathy. ;D

Here is a Video of my Friends Band Called 'The Trip'. It's a 60's/70's Band my friends and I would frequently see in the 80's. The Guy in the Middle is singer/Guitarist Rich Votava.( in photo with me) He was recently ( about 2 years ago) healed from Cancer! This was their '1st Rock of Hope Beneifit' they had last yearat Cafe 322 in Sierra Madre,Ca  to not only help raise money for 'The City Of Hope', where Rich was treated. But to say a Big Thank you to his Doctor and staff that Helped Rich win this hard Battle he endured. Plus his wonderful wife ( in one of my pics with me) was very supportive. None of them ever Gave up 'Hope'...though at times, it looked very hopeless. Together with Gods healing power Rich came through!!  

This year as Rich and his band is preparing their '2nd Rock of Hope Benefit' because he will forever be thankful. He is enjoying life again.. to the fullest!  Now, Im not trying to be un-sensitve to those out there who have lost loved one due to Cancer.  I too have lost loved ones due to this terrible desease. But my message to you personally is I never want you to 'Lose Hope'. I dont care what the circumstance is. Dont you dare give up! Dont give up on yourself  or others and put down your torch. Keep running and keep holding on.. or let those who are strong run for you. To me, donating and/or promoting others in desperate need is like holding their torches. Your help can literally cause  someone, like Rich,to stand up again! To get better and enjoy life they they are supposed to be enjoying it. I want your present loved ones to make it past the finish line and be an inspiration to others who need them. This song in the video is a popular song with a lot of meaning. 'I get by with a little help from my friends'... listen to it and notice that someone (Rich) got better!! People are recovering from cancer  and other terrible deases.. But it takes a little help from their friends. Will you please be their friend? Thank you
