WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
Many of you know a bit about my daughter Meredith and some do not. After 3 years of trying to figure out what was causing her severe developmental delays, a blood test confirmed that Meredith has Congenital Variant Rett Syndrome. Typically children that have Rett Syndrome develop normally during the first 12 months or so, at which point they begin to regress. However, Meredith never had this period of normal development - she has been delayed since birth. In light of her recent diagnosis, I have decided to run the 2012 Boston Marathon to raise awareness and money for Rett Syndrome research. They are making amazing advancements with this science and a great deal of research is happening right here in Boston!! There is talk of future treatments and possibly even a cure. It's obviously a cause close to my heart and I'm hoping to fund the research in any way I can. Please take a minute to watch the short video that tells Meredith's story. It's quick and easy to donate - we'll need all the help we can get!!!
