I am a runner. Am I fast? No. I am one of those hardcore, run 5,000 miles a day until my thighs melt off my body? No. Do I like running a few miles a day at a turtle-like pace, YES! Do I like to raise money for a worthy cause that helps thousands of people, YES! Am I going to run the Denver Donor Dash in July? YES!
I am running 2 miles a day, every day, to raise money for Transplant Living Centers in Aurora, CO. I promise to run, rain, sleet, snow or being chased by hungry foxes that live in my neighboorhood.
I bet your saying, Hey you lazy bum it's the end of March, what rain, sleet or snow?! Well, just for your info it snowed last night here in Indain Hills, CO and now I have to run in it because I choose today of all days to start this.
So check out the Transplant Living Centers' site, and watch for post from me about my shins ripping apart into tiny, tiny pieces or my kneecaps falling down into my shoes.
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
Um, I did mention the rain, sleet and snow right? And I should mention that I live at 7,000 feet above sea level. Not to brag, but come on, I'm pretty awesome.
Oh yeah, and Transplant Living Centers gives housing to people who have just recived organ transplants. So every time I think to myself that this is stupid and how much I like to keep my shins or kneecaps pain free, I remember that there are people who might not ever know the feeling I am experiencing because their bodies would never allow them to do so.
