Night in for AHA
THE STORY:
Dear friends,
This is my very first fundraising project on Crowdrise. It is my pleasure to stand with a woman as distinguished and as selfless as Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Ever since I delved deeper into her life story a few months ago, I have never stopped thinking about her. In celebration of her 42nd birthday, my gift to her and her foundation is to share with you her life and the work of her foundation.
My fundraising goal for this event is $500 and would love to encourage all my friends to help me meet this need. The foundation specifically deals with the following issues:Honor Violence; Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation; and Sharia Law.
But to really support this cause is to listen to the story of tthe woman behind the movement. I love Ayaan Hirsi Ali and she is a true champion for the rights of women worldwide. As you well know: to liberate a woman is to free a whole society and that is what we are standing for.

Host a Virtual Dinner Party for friends.

In celebration of Ayaan’s 42nd birthday, we hope to raise $42,000. All funds raised will honor Ayaan’s mission by helping to further the AHA Foundation’s work to protect women and girls from oppression justified by religion or culture. If just 210 of our supporters raise $200 each, we will reach our goal.
