Hi All,

As some of you may know, I volunteer as a mentor for an organization called iMentor, which connects New York City high school students in underserved communities with working professionals.  Through monthly in-person events and weekly e-mail correspondence, mentors provide professional, academic, and personal guidance to help mentees reach their potential.

I am currently in the second year of a four year match with Renzo, a sophomore at the Urban Assembly School for Careers in Sports.  In addition to being a math wiz and a budding comedian, he enjoys playing football and will probably set the Guinness World Record for soda consumption some day.

To help iMentor continue growing and reach even more NYC high school students, we need your help.  If you find yourself in a position to support our efforts, please consider making a donation -- every contribution makes a difference.  $25 allows a mentee to attend a year of iMentor events.  $100 supplies a mentee with a year's access to monthly career and college preparation events.  $500 sponsors a mentee’s participation for an entire year.  If you would like to learn more about iMentor, please read on below.

ABOUT IMENTOR

iMentor is the premiere mentoring program in NYC.  This year alone, iMentor will match 1,800 professionals in one-on-one relationships with students from low income neighborhoods in NYC.  In addition, iMentor will bring our innovative model to thousands of students nationwide through our national program, iMentor Interactive.  Mentoring relationships are changing the trajectory of mentees’ lives by helping them graduate high school and enroll in college.
