THE STORY:
In October of 2010, My beautiful Aunt Leslie passed away from a whirlwind battle with Pancreatic cancer. I spent a brief period with her before she passed, in which I witnessed her immense suffering. Her death has had a profound affect on the way in which I view the world, family, and physical health.
As a child I remember seeing pictures of Leslie in her 20's, my age, in running gear, looking happy and healthy as ever. I have never been a runner- but have been inspired by her in many ways. I have decided to begin training for the SF Marathon and Nike Women's 5k in her honor, not only to help fund and fight Pancreatic cancer, but to enhance my personal health as well. I want to live the long life she was unable to.
I would appreciate any support, even $1, in honor of this organization and in honor of my sweet auntie. Thank you!
