A Window Between Worlds (AWBW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using art to help end domestic violence. Since 1991, AWBW has provided creative expression as a healing tool for over 74,000 battered women and their children in crisis shelters, transitional homes, and outreach centers throughout the United States.
The Windows Workshops provide weekly art workshops to women and children in domestic violence shelters, transitional housing, and outreach centers. They offer a safe, gentle and effective way for survivors to express and relase painful feelings and begin to build self confidence. The Art Exhibitions provide a powerful way to break the silence that allows domestic violence to continue in our communities.
Please help AWBW meet the demand for their programs nationwide. Whether you give $5, $25 or $250 your contribution will make a difference! A donation of $25 is enough to support one survivor's participation in a healing art workshop. And just think - $1,000 will train and support one leader to provide one shelter with an art program for a full year!
