Pretzels with a Purpose
In 2011, more than 230,000 women and 2,000 men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S. Thankfully, Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has made it its mission to save lives and end this devastating disease forever. This year, Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps®, the low calorie, flat-baked pretzel cracker, is honored to join the fight against breast cancer by becoming an official partner of Komen for the Cure, the global leader in the breast cancer movement. In an effort to raise awareness and donations benefiting Komen, Pretzel Crisps will be sporting the pink ribbon on its 14 ounce bags and from June 2011 through May 2012, Snack Factory will make a minimum donation of $100,000, to the organization.
With the goal to exceed the $100,000 donation, the Field Marketing and Sales teams in four markets are asking individuals, companies and communities across the country to join forces and help raise additional funds for the cause. Today, we are asking for your support to help Komen continue its fight by funding life-saving education, screening, treatment and research programs. To make a donation to Komen, in connection with the Pretzel Crisps program or fundraise alongside one of our markets, please chose the city you wish to affiliate with: Boston, New York City, San Francisco or Los Angeles and help us make a difference. Donations will be accepted between October 1st and 31st and will be sent directly to Komen, on behalf of Pretzel Crisps. Remember, every penny counts and every contribution will help move us one step closer to a world without breast cancer.
