WHAT WE DO:

PREVENT HATE promotes community empowerment and intergroup relations through activities and alliances that advance coexistence and defend human rights.

PREVENT HATE uses integrated strategies to cultivate social health and foster productive interaction between groups. We actively work to address the needs of diversified communities with strategies that elevate their ability to create equality among stakeholders and limit motives for conflict.

PREVENT HATE's Witness Humanity program, has designed original, transitional housing for people living with disabilities. Inexpensive, sturdy, and eco-friendly, these houses are powered with solar energy and are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). They can be used in communities recovering from war or disaster that have populations needing shelter, or for any municipality that has people living with disabilities in need of immediate housing.

PREVENT HATE works to make the lives of socially disadvantaged people easier by providing them with the tools, resources, and strategic partners they need. These houses come with relevant training and community development to help communities sustain themselves better.

Happy May! It’s finally spring, and kids will soon be running out the school doors into sweet summer freedom. But over 19,000,000 children across the country do not own a single book. Can you imagine a summer without even a little fun reading?

Please take a minute to check out Reader to Reader's newest fundraiser with Twive & Receive: http://twive.razoo.com/story/Amherst-Loves-Books Your donation on June 14th could help us win a share of $30,000! Now more than ever, the smallest donation can have a huge impact. You can sign up for a reminder email on our page, or if you just can't wait to get books in the hands of children, donate now. Thank you for your support!

Happy April, CR friend!
Reader to Reader is auctioning off some great artwork to raise funds for our many international programs, thanks to our friends at the ART4GOOD Foundation. If you like art, books, or education, stop by and take a look at the 35 beautiful pieces available! http://bit.ly/HjFtMO
You get a beautiful piece of art, and RTR can:
-provide special education programs for children in the Dominican Republic;
-teach women to read in Nigeria;
-keep abandoned children in childhood through reading and improve theater in rural China;
-sponsor Haitian kids to finish school;
-continue to grow our public library in a coffee-farming Costa Rican village;
AND support many other programs that do wonderful work in India, Mexico, Nicaragua, Kosovo, Ghana and other countries.
If art isn’t your thing, you can still support our programs by donating or joining our team. Take a look at my projects to see more of what we do.
All the best, and HAPPY READING,
Kat

Here is a vote for your amazing project. I hope you accept our friend request and will join our team to help us raise the needed funding for our project.
P.A.N.'s mission statement is to "Document the past and present effects of corporate globalization upon the first nation peoples of the world."

In the interest of meeting our mission statements objectives we are very excited about having been invited to go throughout the Yucatan, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands and to engage with the first nation peoples of these areas. We are very excited about this amazing opportunity to document the past and present effects of corporate globalization in these places and want to engage in doing so as soon as possible. We need funding to provide transportation expenses and living expenses for our intrepid camera crew who is eager to embark upon this leg of our mission. We are dedicated, motivated and have all the right contacts to undertake our mission but we need your support today.
