Food is a central part of every culture and hunger strikes at the core of the human spirit. It affects not only the body and mind, but the soul as well. To sit at the table and enjoy a nutritious meal should be a basic human right available to all.
Food insecurity and hunger aren’t just about lack of income any more. It’s about the increasing cost of living, medical bills, job cuts, and lost wages. It’s about our seniors, our parents and grandparents: people who’ve worked their whole lives and now have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. It’s about our children, forced to carry a burden they shouldn’t have to bear.

The Human Arc Family Foundation, partnered with the Cleveland Foodbank, is hosting their second annual "Race to a Million for Hunger". Last year, Human Arc's Race to a Million raised enough to provide $16,500 for the hungry and food-insecure of Northeast Ohio. This year, we are going to race past that and raise $25,000 for the Cleveland Foodbank, raising enough money to provide 100,000 meals to those in need.
