Bradley Gillespie's Fundraiser:
Myelin Project Rajin' Cajun II Festival
Bradley
HERE'S THE STORY:
The Myelin Project is hosting the second Rajin' Cajun Festival on February 26, 2011 with the proceeds supporting the work of Dr. Celia Kassman at the Max-Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine. Dr. Kassman is working to develop an improved model of adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD). This important work is a critical step in efforts to discover potential therapies for this devastating disease.
While this sounds very different from my other projects, it is and it isn't. Both are there to try and keep boys with X-ALD alive. Since we don't have a cure, Lorenzo's Oil is a tool to keep the kids alive until we find a cure. Dr. Kassman's work is to develop another tool, this one to help test potential therapies for X-ALD.
We need them both, so either way, you are working towards helping the boys.
