We are running the Relay as team Rodeo Clowns (United States Coast Guard Medical). The Rodeo Clowns are a mix of Coast Guard and friends who share the common goal of raising money for those in need while testing our endurance. This year we will be running the roads of Napa, Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties to raise money for Organs R Us and Katie Grace Groebner, a nine-year-old girl who is waiting for a new heart and lungs. This will be the second year the Rodeo Clowns have run the Relay and thank you in advance for your support
More about Katie Grace: When she was eleven days old, Katie Grace began fainting. At age three, Katie Grace developed a heart murmur that doctors said she would outgrow. In February 2008, tests showed that Katie Grace had pulmonary hypertension curable only by a heart lung transplant. In August 2008, the Groebners moved to Clayton, CA, to began treatment at Stanford Hospital. Although Katie Grace receives medication by vein 24 hours a day, she will cheer runners and walkers at The Relay finish.
