Run and Walk with Pride
It's that time of year again! Registration is under way for the kickoff to Seattle's Pride weekend...the annual Run and Walk with Pride, and we want you - yes, you - to be part of the action! This year the Run and Walk will benefit Three Dollar Bill Cinema, which provides access to films by, for, and about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their families, and a forum for LGBT filmmakers to share and discuss their work with audiences. This year, in addition donating proceeds from Run and Walk registration fees, we're using this site to make an even bigger impact!
So what are you waiting for? Get the word out to your friends, family, co-workers, etc. by setting up or joining a team. Select 'Join a Team' or look at the team leaderboard below to choose an existing team, or you can set up your own! With the click of a button, everyone on the team gets their own customizable Fundraising Page, making it quick and easy to join and start fundraising. Using the social media buttons included in the page, it's ridiculously easy to tell everyone you know about the Run and Walk with Pride and your fundraising goals.
What's in it for you? In addition to making a huge impact on a very deserving LGBT organization, if your team fundraises the most money, you and every member of your team are eligible for fantastic prizes! We are offering an additional award for the top individual fundraiser, so set up your page now and tell everyone you know about it!
What the Run and Walk with Pride is all about...
RWWP is an annual community event open to all, presented by Seattle Frontrunners. On Sunday, June 19th at 10 am, we'll take to the roads in Seward Park for a fun 4K run, 10K run, or 4K walk. All participants will get a limited-edition tee shirt and are eligible for fabulous prizes. Learn more about the event and register to participate at Active.com through June 18th. We're also accepting day-of-event registrations on the 19th, but do yourself a favor (and guarantee yourself a fab tee shirt) by pre-registering online.
