THE STORY:

I was diagnosed with Small Cell Cervical Cancer at the prime of my life. This is a rare, aggressive form of cervical cancer not caused by HPV. Since it is so rare, funding for research is minimal. We have found a donor that will match dollar per dollar every donation given. I will be running the Portland Marathon to help raise funds for this rare cancer. The more money we make, the more lives we can hopefully save. The Background: The SCCC Sisterhood is raising money for our Small Cell Cervical Cancer research fund at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Due to it's rarity, there are no clinical trials that can be done for SCCC. We are working with Dr Michael Frumovitz at MD Anderson to start an online global database for SCCC. We will also be including Large Cell Cervical Cancer (LCCC) in the research. LCCC is a closely related and even rarer form of cervical cancer. Please help us!!!
