Singularity University (SU) gathers the brightest achievers from around the world to teach them about exponential technologies and then challenges them to use these technologies to solve humanity’s grand challenges.
Graduate students with incredible dedication, from over 30 different countries, come together for one purpose - to leverage exponentially advancing technologies to improve the lives of over 1 billion people worldwide. Recruited from among 2000 applicants for their demonstrated academics, leadership, and passion for humanity - 80 students will convene for a 10-week summer program to innovate solutions for the World’s most pressing challenges in the areas of poverty, energy, security, education, space, and global health.
SU is a non-profit institution backed by NASA, Google, Cisco, Nokia, Autodesk, Kauffman Foundation and ePlanet Ventures. These organizations cover the baseline operating costs of SU.

With the support of a broad range of leaders in academia, business and government, Singularity University hopes to stimulate groundbreaking, disruptive thinking and solutions aimed at solving some of the planet’s most pressing challenges. Singularity University is based at the NASA Ames campus in Silicon Valley.
