THE STORY:

Hello! My name is Wayne and I am former United States Army Staff Sergeant with a unique talent. I snag baseballs at Major league Baseball stadiums that I attend. I know, it's kind of nerdy and goofy but it's a lot of fun! I've met so many amazing people on the way throughout my journey to different American cities and I've met so many awesome baseball players too! The thing is, I wanted to put this unique talent to good use. I contacted the Seattle Humane Society to see if they'd like to help sponsor my charity that I have created here on Crowdrise. Here's how the charity works. I attend as many Major League Baseball games as possible, snag as many baseballs before, during and after the games and seek out awesome people like you to throw down some pledges per baseball that I snag. Here's a quick break down of my yearly totals.

In 2005 I was able to snag one baseball.

In 2008 I was able to snag three baseballs.

In 2009 I snagged eight baseballs.

In 2010 I snagged 87 baseballs.

And in 2011 I snagged 135 baseballs.

Yeah, I know. That's a lot of baseballs. I'm sure you're asking what I do with all of them. Well, I keep the majority and I also find young children and military veterans, like myself, to give a lot of way to. It's a great way to connect with the community and get the word out about my charity efforts! I've provided a link below where you can check out my baseball snagging statistics! Take a look!

If you plan on donating or making a pledge, you can very easily by emailing me at Waynepeck@Yahoo.com and letting me know and then by clicking the HUGE orange "DONATE" button. You're off and running! Keep in mind that I snag a tremendous amount of baseballs throughout the year. Unless you're filthy rich, you'll want to keep your pledges at a reasonable rate. Like, .10 cents a ball or even .5 cents a ball. If I end up snagging 200 baseballs you may not be able to make your donation if you've pledged $5 dollars a ball. Although, that would be nice, sometimes things happen and we can't always come through with our promises. I also blog about every single game I attend with details and pictures of my experience at the stadium on my official MLB blog. Click on the link below and have a look for yourself!

For the 2012 baseball season I plan to travel to Japan to watch the Seattle Mariners and the Oakland Athletics duke it out in the Tokyo Dome! it should be very interesting and a lot of fun! I hope you check out my blog and follow me throughout my adventures! I also plan to visit Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Minnesota and a few other stadiums I've already seen in the recent years!

Thanks to all that have donated in the past. Myself and the Seattle Humane Society really appreciate your efforts to give these great dogs and cats a second chance at life! Let's make the 2012 season a great one!

Best regards,

Wayne Peck
