THE STORY:
Founded in New York City in 1963, Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) has been making a lifetime of achievement possible for the most talented and motivated students from underserved and underrepresented communities. The SEO Scholars Program provides urban public high school students with more than 720 hours of rigorous academic instruction during their high school years while they not in school, preparing students to earn admission and succeed at competitive colleges and universities. The SEO Career Program recruits, trains, and mentors outstanding underrepresented college students from across the country for internships that lead to careers in some of the nation’s most competitive industries. The SEO Alternative Investments Fellowship Program provides education, training and mentoring to broaden the opportunities of young professionals from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the alternative investments industry. With more than 6,500 program graduates and alumni-led SEO affiliate programs in London, China and Vietnam, SEO has cultivated powerful new generations of leaders impacting their industries and their communities.
