Hi - I am the Captain of a team of about 50 runners in the 2012 NYC Half-Marathon, all of whom are raising money for Think Pink Rocks, the breast cancer organization that was Co-Founded by my sister Stephanie Robin, who has been battling Stage IV breast cancer since 2005.
Think Pink Rocks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer and to provide funding for screening, treatment and research.
All money raised for Think Pink Rocks from the NYC Half 2012 will benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Did you know:
• A woman's risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer is greatly increased if she carries the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation (Breast Cancer gene mutation).
• Men with these mutations also have an increased risk of breast and prostate cancer. Our team will raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
Think Pink Rocks is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Contributions to Think Pink Rocks are tax deductable to the extent allowable by law.
