Running the Boston Marathon is a personal goal of mine. In 2010 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which totally changed my world. At 30 years old no one ever expects to receive news like that. During this battle I became more aware of health and fitness and learned that I was a lot stronger than I thought I was. I became more involved with running and obstacle racing, which I fell totally in love with. Along with this turn of events in my life another tragedy struck my family. My father passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 61, 4 months ago. He was my biggest fan and life cheerleader. he always pushed me to pursue my dreams. He knew that running the marathon and crossing that finish line no matter what it took was a huge goal of mine after my diagnosis. This year I will not only be running for an amazing hospital that helped save my hearing when I was a little girl, I will be running in honor of my biggest fan, my dad. Please consider making a donation for an amazing cause! Any amount will help me reach my goal of $5000! I want to thank each and everyone of you that help make this dream of mine a reality!
