THE STORY:
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, together known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease or “IBD”, are tough on kids and The Children’s IBD Center at Mount Sinai works every day to help these kids cope and live normal, productive lives. IBD is a chronic, life-long disease that causes inflammation, swelling and pain in the digestive tract and in children it can impair growth and development. There is no known cure for the disease, its causes are only partially understood and it can be debilitating. But you can help. Your donation to Team IBDkids will be used to fund research into the cause and treatments of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and for support and education programs serving children with IBD and their families.
