I'm really excited to be running the 2012 Boston Marathon with Team Joslin!
I'm running the marathon in honor of my mother, Lynn Fisher, who passed away in July from Type I Diabetes complications. My mother struggled with this disease for over 40 years before she passed away at the age of 61. I can't think of a better organization to support, one that has supported my mother, as well as my whole family for so long. I'm thrilled at the opportunity to be able to give back and show my support for those living with diabetes and those working to find a cure. I hope you will all help me support such a wonderful organization and join me as I make the journey from Hopkington to Boston.

Members of Team Joslin are charitably minded individuals from all over the world who compete in athletic events to raise money for Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund. These events contribute to Joslin’s cutting-edge research and the most comprehensive diabetes patient care and education in the world. Team Joslin incorporates the spirit of giving with maintaining an active lifestyle – two essential elements in the fight against diabetes.
