I have been a speech therapist at Lakeview School in Edison, NJ, for 13 years. I'm looking forward to the race it's my first 5k. I work with really great teachers, speech, occupational and physical therapists. I hope some of them will join me in the race and in fundraising. Lakeview School provides a unique learning environment for students with multiple disabilities ages 3-21.The students of Lakeview are an inspiration. The students face many challenges including not being able to communicate verbally. As a speech therapist it's my job to provide them with an alternate means of communicating i.e. computers, pictures, sign language etc. all of which require a lot of support and funding. I hope you will support me by sponsoring my run at this great event.
